First Responders & Their Loved Ones
I specialize in supporting first responders and their spouses or significant others as they navigate the unique challenges that often accompany a career in public safety. With nearly a decade in law enforcement, I understand firsthand the demands, pressures, and cumulative stress that can come with serving others while balancing personal and family life.
The nature of first responder work can impact emotional well-being, relationships, communication, identity, and overall quality of life. Whether you're experiencing stress, anxiety, burnout, compassion fatigue, difficulty transitioning between work and home, or relationship challenges, therapy can provide a space to process these experiences without judgment.
I also work with spouses and significant others navigating the complexities of loving and supporting someone in a high-stress profession. Together, we can explore ways to improve communication, strengthen relationships, establish healthy boundaries, and develop strategies to better manage the demands of the first responder lifestyle.
My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in the realities of this profession — helping clients build resilience, restore balance, and create meaningful, lasting change both personally and relationally.
Mothers & Motherhood
I'm passionate about supporting women through all stages of motherhood, recognizing there's no one-size-fits-all journey. Whether you're preparing for pregnancy, navigating pregnancy or postpartum, adjusting to life as a new mother, embracing a role as a stepmother, or finding your place within a blended family, therapy can offer a space to feel seen, supported, and understood.
Motherhood often brings immense joy alongside real challenges. Many women find themselves balancing everyone else's needs while losing sight of their own identity and well-being. Together, we'll explore ways to reconnect with yourself, establish sustainable boundaries, and prioritize self-care without guilt.
I also support women processing difficult or traumatic birth experiences, the emotional impact of pregnancy or postpartum transitions, or working to rediscover who they are outside the many roles they hold.
My goal is to provide a compassionate, trauma-informed space where you can slow down, process your experiences, and build practical tools to navigate motherhood with greater confidence, resilience, and self-compassion.
Athletes & Life After Sport
I specialize in supporting current and former athletes navigating the mental, emotional, and identity-related challenges that come with a life centered around sport. As a former competitive gymnast and current competitive CrossFit athlete, I understand firsthand the dedication, discipline, and pressure of high-performance environments.
Athletes are often taught to push through discomfort and hold themselves to exceptionally high standards. While these traits can drive success, they can also lead to performance anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, self-criticism, and difficulty finding balance outside training and competition.
I work with athletes navigating performance-related stress, confidence, fear of failure, and injury recovery, as well as former athletes grappling with questions of identity and purpose beyond their athletic careers.
Together, we'll explore the relationship between performance and self-worth, build healthier coping strategies, and create a sustainable path toward long-term well-being — helping you reconnect with yourself as a whole person, not just an athlete.
